Jeju Olle Myeonok (제주 올레면옥) sits just minutes from Jeju Airport, and it turned out to be one of those quietly excellent places — the kind that makes its own buckwheat noodles, piles on fresh abalone, and somehow leaves you feeling lighter than when you walked in. The ingredients are good, and the whole meal lands light rather than heavy. It's the rare noodle place I'd call genuinely healthy.

What I Ordered

We went with three bowls: the mul naengmyeon, the bibim naengmyeon, and the deulgireum makguksu — and every one of them arrived piled generously with fresh abalone. For a place this close to an airport, that kind of generosity surprised me.

The mul naengmyeon was cool and refreshing, exactly what you want it to be. The bibim naengmyeon was on the milder side — not very spicy at all, which plenty of people will actually prefer. And the deulgireum makguksu was my favorite. I have a soft spot for perilla-oil noodles, so maybe I'm biased — but this one tasted especially good.
