About Flora

Hi, I'm Flora — a Seoul-based actress and the person behind Korea with Flora.

I was born and raised in Korea, and I've spent most of my life navigating the parts of this country that rarely make it into travel guides: the hole-in-the-wall naengmyeon restaurants with decades of history, the skincare ingredients that Korean women have quietly relied on for years, the small rituals that make daily life in Seoul feel like its own kind of art.

This blog started as a way to share that world with people who love Korea from afar — or who are planning to visit and want something more honest than a top-ten list. I write about food, beauty, and everyday culture, always from personal experience, always in my own words.

As an actress, I spend a lot of time paying attention — to faces, to spaces, to the way a meal can tell you something about a place. That's the lens I bring to everything I write here.

Korea with Flora covers:

K-Beauty & Wellness — Real routines, not trends. The products and treatments I actually use, explained for people who didn't grow up with a ten-step regimen.

Food — From cold noodles with a hundred years of history to the kind of meal you stumble into by accident. I write about food the way I experience it: slowly, with context.

Hidden Gems in Korea — Places worth knowing about, told by someone who actually lives here.

I'm glad you're here. If something on this blog made you curious about Korea — or made you want to book a flight — that's exactly what I was hoping for.
